Sandra has a passion for partnering with local organizations and residents, providing library access to all, and introducing social and emotional-intelligence programs to learning activities to deliver imaginative possibilities.
Sandra Day brings to the library board a wealth of experience in management and serving the community. Retired in 2011 from a Fortune 100 company, she spent 33 years in management positions of increasing responsibility; more recently, she has served as a member of the Ridgefield City Council since 2012.
Additionally, Sandra has experience serving as a board and committee member for multiple community groups including: North Salmon Creek Neighborhood Association (2012-2016); Neighborhood Associations of Clark Country Council (2012-2016); Columbia River Economic Development Council (2013-2017); Columbia River Economic Council’s Education Committee (2016-2017); and the Association of Washington Cities Legislative Priorities Committee (2014-2017).
Appointed in January 2018, Sandra’s term will continue through December 31, 2024.
