Retired City Manager Dave Mercier brings to FVRLibraries more than three decades of senior management experience in state and local government.
During his professional career, he has served as the City Manager/CEO of four communities and came to Washington in 1997 to serve as the first City Manager of Battle Ground after their change in form of government.
Most recently, Dave served as Vancouver's Deputy City Manager from 2011 until retiring at the end of 2017.
A native of New England, Dave graduated from the University of Maine and is also a graduate of the University of Washington Cascade Center’s Public Executive Program.
Dave’s position represents Clark County. He was appointed to fill the position left vacant when the previous trustee moved out of the county. His term runs through December 31, 2021.
