Art4Art Fundraiser 2024

What is the Art4Art fundraiser?

Every year, the Friends of Vancouver Community Library gives local artists an 8'' x 8'' wood panel to create on. The artist then donates the panel back to the Friends and they are sold in our Art4Art fundraiser. Proceeds go to funding art projects and programming at the library. Revenue from past events has been used to buy equipment for our Sensory Storytime for neurodivergent preschoolers, books to give away at community events, and more!

This year, in addition to the art sale, there will be live music from Vancouver School of Arts and Academics' jazz program, snacks, and a community art project.

Timeline

June 15: Artists can begin picking up blank panels at the accounts desk of Vancouver Community Library.

September 15: Submissions for Art4Art 2024 close. Panels must be returned to the library by the end of the day.

October 4: The 2024 Art4Art fundraiser will happen in the Columbia Room of Vancouver Community Library from 5:30–7:30 pm.

How much are the panels sold for?

In an effort to make art accessible to all regardless of artist notoriety or skill level, all panels are sold for a set price of $30, paid with cash or credit card. Buyers are encouraged to find pieces that are meaningful to them, not by "known" artists, which is why we ask artists to only sign the back of the panel.

We look forward to seeing you in October!
