Are you a creative teen with a flair for writing? Enter the Imagined Ink Teen Writing Contest and you could win amazing prizes! The Imagined Ink Teen Writing Contest is open for submissions until November 15, 2024.

Entries will be read by a panel of judges with prizes awarded to an overall Best in Show Winner, and winners from each age group (13-15 years old and 16-18 years old) as well as several runners’ up. A collection of the top works will also be published in the 2024 Imagined Ink Collection eBook to be available to all library patrons through FVRLibraries’ Overdrive service.

Who can participate?

Youth ages 13-18 who live within, attend school, or are home-schooled in the Fort Vancouver Regional Library District and the Woodland School District are eligible.

Submissions must be:

  • 1,000 words or less
  • Original work by contestant and cannot include fanfiction or recognizable characters or settings from other media
  • Any genre/topic or format
  • Comics can be no longer than 6 pages and must be submitted on the provided comic template (plantilla de cómic) PDF.
  • In English or Spanish
  • Only one entry per person
  • Submitted online by Friday, November 15

Prizes:

Winners receive up to $200 and will be published in our official Imagined Ink 2024 eBook.
