Jennifer Giltrop leads Fort Vancouver Regional Libraries, working directly with the Board of Trustees to provide the vision, strategy, and oversight of the library district’s operational and administrative services. Jennifer works closely with the library branches and in collaboration with the Deputy Director and Directors for Outreach and Community Partnerships, Communications and Marketing, Finance, Fleet and Facilities, and Human Resources.
In December 2023, Jennifer joined FVRLibraries as their Executive Director. With over 25 years of library administration and management experience, she has led teams of talented library staff across the country in transforming, designing, and delivering library services and programs in urban, suburban, and rural communities. Giltrop has served as Chief Library Officer for Library Systems & Services, LLC; the Deputy Director for Jacksonville Public Library; the Director of Public Services for DC Public Library; and Public Services Director for Seattle Public Library.
A strong believer in excellent customer service for all, lifelong learning, and intellectual freedom, Giltrop is known as an innovative and action-oriented leader. Her focus on excellence, efficiency, and effectiveness has helped to improve operational and strategic results in her roles. Jennifer has advocated for library funding at the local, state, and federal levels. Notable among her many achievements was leading Jacksonville Public Library to be recognized as Florida Library of the Year in 2017.
She has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Aquinas College (MI), Master of Library & Information Science from Wayne State University (MI), and numerous certifications and professional memberships.
