Note: This is only an option if you have a physical card to start with. If you obtained your account online, you'll need to visit a library and request a physical card in addition to upgrading your account to full-privilege.
- Android: There's a straightforward way to keep library barcodes in Google Wallet/Google Pay simply by taking a picture of your card and adding it as a pass. If you need to add multiple library accounts, just keep scanning and naming them appropriately.
- iPhone: Apple only recognizes and generates certain formats of barcodes, none of which are the type used by libraries. You may be able to download a third party wallet app to store your library barcode.
- Either platform: Another option is to photograph your barcode, then save it with a name you can search for and pull up easily in your photos app. Our testing has shown that in-focus photographs of barcodes scan just as well as a library card in our libraries.
