Summer at Your Library

Summer at Your Library

Read, create, explore, and learn all summer long!

  • Who? All ages. Library card not needed!
  • When? June 15–August 15, 2021
  • What? Track your reading and other activities for a chance to win prizes, and join us each week for fun, free virtual programs!

How to play

Step 1: Track your reading and activities

Step 2: Complete the four challenges

  • Read: Read for at least 30 days. Attending a virtual library program counts toward a day of reading!
  • Create: Make at least one creation.
  • Explore: Discover something new in your world.
  • Learn: Try at least one new thing.

Step 3: Earn prizes!

  • Bring your completed activity logs to the library (or let a staff member know you tracked your activity in Beanstack) from August 15–28.
  • Kids and teens (ages 0–18) will receive a library tote bag AND your choice of new book, journal, fidget cube, bubble pop, or early learning lacing kit (available while supplies last). Plus, you'll be entered into the grand prize drawing.
  • Adults will be entered into the grand prize drawing.
  • Grand prizes are a shopping spree to a local store. Winners will be drawn from each branch and each age group.

LibrAntics challenge

Want to have a little more fun this summer and complete some truly off-the-wall tasks? Each week, we’ll set a new challenge for you to complete at home. Film your creativity in action and send in your attempt for a chance to be featured with our favorite LibrAntics on the FVRLibraries’ YouTube channel. We’ll also be randomly awarding a $50 Amazon Gift Card to one participant each week.

Visit the LibrAntics challenge page for more information. Links to new challenges are posted there, too.
